Paul Crowley & Co solicitors are looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Residential Conveyancing to join their award-winning conveyancing team based in Anfield.

The successful candidate will be confident working alongside an experienced conveyancer and have previous experience of assisting with files from inception to completion.

This is not a training opportunity; we require a conveyancing assistant to form a long-term partnership with the conveyancer and be comfortable with the work from day one. Therefore, experience is crucial.

The purpose of the role primarily will be to:

Person Specification & Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in conveyancing and working knowledge of the whole client lifecycle
  • Experience using Proclaim Case Management System is preferred but not essential (Training would be provided)
  • Good technical knowledge and be able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • An effective team player
  • A good eye for detail
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 packages
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Digital dictation
  • Excellent typing, oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Build relationships with new clients

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting our team of Conveyancers with the management of a busy, fast-moving caseload
  • Administrative support and assistance to our busy Conveyancing team
  • Answering incoming calls and addressing queries where possible
  • Responding to prospective clients as soon as possible following enquiry
  • Handling post
  • Maintaining files
  • Dealing with files from opening to issuing contracts
  • Be actively involved in ensuring compliance with CQS
  • Effective implementation of anti-money laundering legislation and KYC, procedures, and compliance
  • Undertake specific training when required and have overall responsibility towards self-development
  • Be actively involved in ensuring compliance in Lexcel and other standards
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all the firm’s and client’s documentation and information by complying with GDPR
  • Be actively involved in business development activities and networking
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the Directors as necessary for other fee earners and employees
