Positive news for the property market as it is given the green light to get going again, following the recent announcement by Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick for government plans to re-open the housing market with immediate effect.
It is estimated that over 450,000 buyers and renters have had their plans on hold since the government imposed lockdown measures on 23 March 2020.
The conveyancing department of Paul Crowley & Co solicitors, have welcomed the governments decision to ease the lockdown and allow house moves and viewings to resume again, which is excellent news for our clients says Jenna Gall the law firms Head of Conveyancing, as we are now able to make progress and charge full steam ahead, with the conveyancing for our existing and new clients.

For a vast majority of people looking to move home this could not be achieved. Due to the safety initiatives introduced by the government to stop the spread of the virus, no amount of hard work by our solicitors or new ways of working could have made advancement possible. Only if a property was not in a chain and did not require any removals could the property transaction be completed.
The changes announced by the government do not only affect those who are currently in the process of going through a sale.
Estate Agents are once again allowed to open for business on properties in England, enabling you to search for the right property to fit your needs. There will be many people who have decided during lockdown that they need a new home; one with a garden perhaps, or somewhere bigger to accommodate working from home with an additional room for an office, or maybe some extra privacy.
If you feel this could be you, Paul Crowley & Co solicitors are here to help.
